We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Memorandum of Understanding Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran signed on 16 June 2004 in the Field of Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned memorandum of understanding is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Guinea.

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the North-South Transport Corridor Agreement is hereby ratified.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the mentioned agreement in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The mentioned Petroleum Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Hunt Oman Musandam Exploration Company signed on 15 June 2004 is hereby approved.

Article II
