We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and the Law of Sultan Qaboos University issued by Royal Decree 14/99,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Dr Hamad bin Suleiman Al-Salmi is hereby appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University, and is hereby granted the financial grade allocated to the position of Associate Professor.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The name of the Directorate General of Technical Education in the Ministry of Social Affairs, Labour, and Vocational Training is hereby replaced with the name of the Directorate General of Technological Education.
Article II
All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information.
– Secretary General of the Tender Board.
– Chief executive officer of the company.
– A representative of the Ministry of Defence selected by the Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs.
– Advisor of Telecommunications at the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The mentioned Joint Defence Agreement of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf is hereby ratified.
