We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The name of the “Ministry of the Palace Office” is hereby amended to the “Royal Office.”Article II

and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qatabi is hereby appointed Chairman of Majlis Al-Shura.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from 4 November 2000.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and Royal Decree 7/82 Establishing Oman Oil Refinery LLC,
Royal Decree 86/84 Issuing the Law and System of Government Tenders,
and the constitutive contract of Oman Gas Company LLC,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Tender Board is hereby responsible for the tenders of Oman Oil Refinery LLC and Oman Gas LLC, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law and System of Government Tenders.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and Royal Decree 67/2000 Regarding Some Provisions of Higher Education Institutions,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The phrase “Dhofar Municipality and Sohar Office” is hereby added to the phrase “Muscat Municipality/regional municipalities” provided in article VI of the mentioned Royal Decree 67/2000.
Article II
All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
