We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 72/91 Issuing the Social Insurance Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Abdulmalik bin Abdullah bin Zaher Al-Hinai is hereby appointed Executive President of the Public Authority for Social Insurance with the special grade.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Ahmed bin Omar bin Taher Baomar is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Tunisia.

Article II

Ambassador Hilal bin Salim bin Hamoud Al-Siyabi, Our ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Burkina Faso.

Article III

Ambassador Ali bin Salim bin Bader Al-Hinai is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Thailand.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 64/94 Transferring an Employee of the Ministry of Education to the Special Grade

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

In exception to the provisions of the mentioned Civil Service Law, Mustafa bin Ali bin Abdullatif Al-Lawatia, Director General of Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Education, is hereby transferred to the special grade.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 63/94 Declaring Public Benefit Status for the Hamriyah Road Dualisation Project (Phase I)

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit and its amendements,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Hamriyah Road Dualisation Project (Phase I) specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the mentioned project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 4/74 Issuing the Law on Foreign Crafts and Foreign Capital Investment and its amendments,

Royal Decree 47/81 Issuing the Corporate Income Tax Law and its amendments,

Royal Decree 77/89 Issued the Law of the Profit Tax on Commercial and Industrial Enterprises,

and Royal Decree 80/93 Repealing the Tax Exemption for Commercial and Industrial Establishments and Companies Wholly Owned by Omani Nationals,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A new paragraph is hereby added to article 4 of the mentioned Law of the Profit Tax on Commercial and Industrial Enterprises, with the following text:

Public joint stock companies wholly owned by Omanis subject to the rates referred to in the first paragraph of this article shall continue in the event that some of their shares are purchased—through the Muscat Securities Market—by a mixed company registered in accordance with the mentioned Foreign Business and Foreign Capital Investment Law.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force as of the tax year 1994, which begins on 1 January 1994.

Royal Decree 94/84 Ratifying the Accession of the Sultanate to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage 1971,

the Protocol of 1992 to Amend the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage 1969,

and the Protocol of 1992 to Amend the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage 1971,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Protocol of 1992 to Amend the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage 1969 and the Protocol of 1992 to Amend the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage 1971 is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned protocols.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
