We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

in the public interest and to encourage national production,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Customs taxes on exports that do not conflict with the needs of domestic consumption are hereby repealed.

Article 2

The Minister of Commerce and Industry shall, from time to time, issue regulations listing the names of the materials exempt from taxes in accordance with this decree.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on its date.

Sayyid Salim Mohammed Abdullah Shaban is hereby transferred from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Oil, and Minerals.

Article 2

Sayyid Salim Mohammed Abdullah Shaban is hereby appointed with the grade of Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Oil, and Minerals.

Article 3

Those concerned shall implement this decree, and it comes into force on its date.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

hereby decide the following

Article 1

A Diwan of Protocol is hereby established for Us.

Article 2

The diwan shall plan and regulate the rules of protocol for the Sultanate in general and those pertaining to Us in particular.

Article 3

All entities concerned with protocol in the Sultanate shall coordinate matters relating to the protocol of the Sultanate on various occasions with the Diwan of Protocol and obtain its approval, especially those matters relating to Us and Our guests.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
