Royal Decree 38/2002 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Health

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 26/75 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The competences of the Ministry of Health are hereby determined in accordance with the attached annex.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 33/2002 Promulgating the Tourism Law

This law has been repealed by Royal Decree 69/2023.

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

After perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Commercial Register Law 3/74 and its amendments,

the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments,

and the System of Travel and Tourism Offices promulgated by Royal Decree 12/88 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of the public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Tourism Law shall apply.

Article II

Whoever practises a tourism activity on the date this law comes into force shall rectify his status in accordance with its provisions within one year from the date of its coming into force.

Article III

The Minister of Commerce and Industry shall issue the necessary executive regulation for implementing the provisions of this law, and until such regulation is issued, the existing regulation and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of this law.

Article IV

The aforementioned Royal Decree 82/88 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this law or in conflict with its provisions.

Article V

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 114/2001 Promulgating the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

The Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control promulgated Royal Decree 10/82 and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 66/2001 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached law shall apply in regard to environmental protection and pollution control.

Article II

The aforementioned Royal Decree 10/82 is hereby repealed, and all that is contrary to the attached law.

Article 3

The Minister of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions for implementing the attached law, and until they are issued, the existing regulations and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of this law.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 109/2000 Promulgating the Law on the Control of Precious Metals

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 1/78 on the Competences of the Directorate General for Specifications and Measurements in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached law shall apply in regard to the control of precious metals.

Article II

The Minister of Commerce and Industry shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions to implement the provisions of this law.

Article III

All text that is contrary to the attached law, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 83/2000 Promulgating the Law on Customs Valuation of Imported Goods

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Customs System Law promulgated by Royal Decree 22/78 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Customs valuation of imported goods shall be governed by the provisions of the attached law.

Article 2

The Inspector General of Police and Customs shall issue the necessary decisions to implement this law.

Article 3

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article 4

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.
