We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income signed in Muscat on 12 June 1999,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned agreement is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Article 1

The Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Education is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached annex.

Article 2

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 65/98 Establishing a Council for Higher Education,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached system shall apply in regard to private universities.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached system, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

The Minister of Higher Education shall issue the executive regulation for the provisions of this system after the approval of the Higher Education Council.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned convention is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 74/98 Recomposing the Sultan Qaboos University Council,

and the Law of Sultan Qaboos University issued by Royal Decree 14/99,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The attached Organisational Structure of Sultan Qaboos University is hereby adopted.

Article 2

The mentioned Royal Decree 68/98 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to this decree or in conflict with its provisions.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78 and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 14/97 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Oil and Gas Pipelines Project,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The oil and gas pipelines project specified in the attached note and maps, as well as the equipment, devices, and connections used in the transportation of oil and gas through the pipelines, are hereby deemed public benefit projects.

Article II

The Ministry of Oil and Gas may seize, through direct execution, lands necessary for the project, and all that is on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

The mentioned Royal Decree 14/97 is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
