Royal Decree 39/96 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Finance and Adopting Its Organisational Structure

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Promulgating the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 47/94 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Finance and Economy,

and Royal Decree 69/95 Amending the Ministerial Formation,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The competences of the Ministry of Finance are hereby adopted in accordance with annex 1 attached to this decree.

The Council of Ministers may entrust the ministries and units of the administrative apparatus of the state with carrying out the competences stipulated in paragraphs 10, 11, and 12 of this annex, or some of them, as of the specified dates in accordance with the approved timetable in this regard.

Article 2

The organisational structure of the Ministry of Finance is hereby adopted in accordance with annex 2 attached to this decree.

Article 3

The records and allocations of the Ministry of Finance and Economy must be distributed between each of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of National Economy in accordance with the approved competences of each of them.

Article 4

The mentioned Royal Decree 47/94 and all that is contrary to or in conflict with the provisions of this decree are hereby repealed.

Article 5

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 46/95 Promulgating the System for the Handling and Use of Chemicals

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Promulgating the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 82/77 Regarding the Use and Circulation of Explosive Materials in the Sultanate and its amendments,

Royal Decree 10/82 Promulgating the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 76/91 Promulgating the Civil Defence Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached system for the circulation and use of chemicals shall apply.

Article II

The Minister of Regional Municipalities and Environment shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions to implement this system.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

Article IV

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article V

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 14/94 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Legal Affairs

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Promulgating the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 2/94 Amending the Ministerial Formation,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The competences of the Ministry of Legal Affairs are hereby determined in accordance with the attached annex.

Article 2

The records and allocations of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs are hereby transferred to the Ministry of Legal Affairs, as well as the employees working there.

Article 3

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 47/81 Promulgating the Corporate Income Tax Law and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 53/88 Promulgating the Muscat Securities Market Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached provisions governing gulf investment shall apply.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
