Royal Decree 14/97 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Oil and Gas Pipelines Protection Project

Repealed by Royal Decree 3/1999.

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The oil and gas pipelines protection project specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the mentioned project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 11/97 Ratifying the Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Avoidance of Double Taxation Resulting from Air Transport Activity

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Avoidance of Double Taxation Resulting from Air Transport Activity signed in Muscat on 11 January 1997,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Avoidance of Double Taxation Resulting from Air Transport Activity is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 54/96 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate to the Convention on the Rights of the Child

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in its resolution 44/25 at its forty-fourth session held on 5 December 1989.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Convention on the Rights of the Child is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for accession to the convention in accordance with its provisions, subject to the attached reservations.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 39/96 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Finance and Adopting Its Organisational Structure (Repealed)

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 47/94 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Finance and Economy,

and Royal Decree 69/95 Amending the Ministerial Formation,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The competences of the Ministry of Finance are hereby adopted in accordance with annex 1 attached to this decree.

The Council of Ministers may entrust the ministries and units of the administrative apparatus of the state with carrying out the competences stipulated in paragraphs 10, 11, and 12 of this annex, or some of them, as of the specified dates in accordance with the approved timetable in this regard.

Article 2

The organisational structure of the Ministry of Finance is hereby adopted in accordance with annex 2 attached to this decree.

Article 3

The records and allocations of the Ministry of Finance and Economy must be distributed between each of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of National Economy in accordance with the approved competences of each of them.

Article 4

The mentioned Royal Decree 47/94 and all that is contrary to or in conflict with the provisions of this decree are hereby repealed.

Article 5

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
