Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments, the decision of the General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation A23-2 at its twenty-third session in Montreal on 6 October 1980 approving the amendment of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago 1944) by adding a new article to the mentioned convention under number 83bis, and the protocol relating to the mentioned amendment, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The mentioned Protocol Relating to an Amendment to the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago 1944) by adding a new article to it under number 83bis is hereby ratified.

Article 2

The relevant government entities shall undertake the necessary measures to implement the mentioned amendment, each within the limits of its mandate.

Article 3

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the petroleum agreement signed with Sun Petroleum Group on 4 February 1973, and amended on 15 February 1974,

the assignment agreement concluded between the Sun Petroleum Group and Amoco Oman Company, ratified by Royal Decree 61/78,

based on the assignment agreements made between some companies, Sun Petroleum Group, and Amoco Company in accordance with the provisions of article 23 of the petroleum agreement signed with Sun Group on 4 February 1973,

and based on the draft of the second amendment contract to the petroleum agreement signed with the mentioned Sun Group, dated 30 June 1980,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Minister of Oil and Minerals is hereby authorised to approve the assignments made between the group of companies holding the concession right, so that the final shares are as follows:

Amoco Company	85.47222%
Schachtbau Company	9.50000%
Wintershall Company	5.02778%

The provisions of article 23 of the original agreement dated 4 February 1973 apply to these assignments.

Article 2

The Minister of Oil and Minerals is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned second amendment contract to the petroleum agreement signed with Sun Group on 4 February 1973.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The project to construct a market for the sale of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit in the Wilayat of Nizwa and the Wilayat of Rustaq at the locations specified in the attached note and masterplan, is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article 2

The competent entities may seize land and property located in the mentioned places in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The mentioned Trade Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Republic of China signed in Beijing on 14 October 1980 is hereby ratified.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
