We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 26/75,

and Royal Decree 102/2005 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A directorate general called the “Directorate General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development” is hereby established in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry”.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

have decreed as follows

Article I

Engineer Abdullah bin Abbas bin Ahmed—Chairman of Muscat Municipality—is hereby granted the rank of minister.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
