We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
Royal Decree 27/85 Establishing a Supreme Committee for City Planning and its amendments,
Royal Decree 90/85 Determining the Employment Status of the Position of Secretary General,
Royal Decree 86/99 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Supreme Committee for City Planning,
and the Civil Service Law issued by Royal Decree 120/2004,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Technical Secretariat of the Supreme Committee for City Planning is hereby made a secretariat general.
Article II
Engineer Muneer bin Baqir bin Hussein Al-Mousawi is hereby appointed Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for City Planning.
Article III
All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.
Article IV
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 79/87 Establishing Oman Fisheries Company and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The text of article 9 of the mentioned Royal Decree 79/87 is hereby replaced with the following text:
The board of directors of the company must be formed in accordance with the provisions of the Commercial Companies Law.
Article II
All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Sheikh Hamad bin Hilal bin Ali Al-Maamari is hereby appointed Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs in the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
the Land Law issued by Royal Decree 5/80 and its amendments,
and the System for Government Land Entitlement issued by Royal Decree 81/84 and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Paragraphs 1 and 6 of the General Conditions in the mentioned System for Government Land Entitlement are hereby amended as follows:
1. The Ministry of Housing, Electricity, and Water may, in accordance with the provisions of this system, own a single residential plot of land by draw for whoever applies to it, in accordance with the following conditions:
6. That the citizen submits the application to the Directorate General of Land and Housing in the ministry and the housing directorates in the governorates and regions. It is not permitted to refer to a specific plot of land in this application.
Article II
The text of paragraph 1 of the conditions for granting residential land provided in the mentioned System for Government Land Entitlement is hereby replaced with the following text:
That the lands requested by the citizen must be in his region, governorate, or the region or governorate in which his workplace is located, in accordance with the controls specified by the ministry.
Article III
A new paragraph numbered 4 is hereby added to these conditions, the text of which is as follows:
4. Applications for land replacement are not accepted unless they are affected by planning, and it is not permitted to create sites outside the plans prepared by the ministry.
Article IV
All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.
Article V
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
