Royal Decree 47/2006 Ratifying Some Provisions of the Arab Convention 18/96 on Child Labour and the Arab Convention 19/98 on Work Inspection

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Arab Convention 18/96 on Child Labour,

and the Arab Convention 19/98 on Work Inspection,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the Arab Convention 18/96 on Child Labour, with the exception of articles 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 20, 21, and 23, are hereby ratified.

Article II

The provisions of the Arab Convention 19/98 on Work Inspection, with the exception of the provisions of articles 11, 15, 18, 22, 26, 29, 30, 32, 38, 40, and 41, are hereby ratified.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing Omani Nationality promulgated by Royal Decree 3/83 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to Khamis bin Salam bin Salim bin Hamed Al-Amri.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 23 November 2005.

Ambassador Mohammed bin Yousuf bin Dawood Shalwani, our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Maldives and the Republic of Singapore.

and Royal Decree 32/2005 Amending the System of Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for the Personnel of the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan’s Armed Forces,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the mentioned system of pensions and end of service gratuity for the personnel of the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan’s Armed Forces are hereby implemented.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 January 2005.

The Minister of Education is hereby added to Article I(First) of the mentioned Royal Decree 54/2005 with the number (4), and the numbers following this number are hereby amended.

Royal Decree 39/2006 Implementing the Unified Law on Anti-Dumping and Countervailing and Safeguard Measures for the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law on the Regulation and Promotion of Industry promulgated by Royal Decree 1/79,

and the decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf issued in the meeting held in the State of Kuwait during the month of December 2003 adopting the Unified Law on Anti-Dumping and Countervailing and Safeguard Measures for the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf as a binding law and implementing it in the member states,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached Unified Law on Anti-Dumping and Countervailing and Safeguard Measures for the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf shall apply.

Article II

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date determined by the aforementioned decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
