We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the System of the Prevention and Protection of Agricultural Wealth Issued by Royal Decree 31/98,

and Royal Decree 83/99 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of the first paragraph of article 3 of the System of the Prevention and Protection of Agricultural Wealth is hereby replaced with the following text:

The concerned party may file a grievance against the request referred to in the previous article to the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries within seven days from the date of receipt of the request.

Article II

A new article numbered 4 is hereby added to the mentioned system with the following text:

Whoever violates the provisions of this system from among the concerned parties must be punished by a fine no less than five Rial and not exceeding one hundred Rial Omani.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
