We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Labour Law issued by Royal Decree 34/73 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A new paragraph is hereby added to the text of article 58bis of the mentioned Labour Law, the text of which is as follows:

If the service of the worker ends, the dues of the government must be deducted from the end-of-service gratuity and from any other entitlements.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Government Officers issued by Royal Decree 26/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A new paragraph is hereby added to the end of article 28 of the mentioned Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Government Officers, the text of which is as follows:

In all cases, none of those entitled to the pension must have had a final judgment issued against him convicting him of the felony of killing the pensioner.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96, the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments, Royal Decree 124/94 Appointing Representatives for the Share of the Government in the Board of Directors of Oman Cement Company, the Financial Law issued by Royal Decree 47/98, and the Articles of Association of Oman Cement SAOG, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The appointment of members representing the share of the government in the board of directors of Oman Cement SAOG must be in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Commercial Companies Law and Financial Law. A decision must be issued by the Minister Supervising the Ministry of Finance to appoint the chairman of the board of directors of the company from among the representatives for the share of the government in the board.

Article II

The mentioned Royal Decree 124/94 is hereby repealed, as well as that is contrary to or in conflict with the provisions of this decree.

Article III

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Mauritius.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
