We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Brigadier General Ahmed bin Harith bin Nasser Al-Nabhani is hereby promoted to the rank of Major General and appointed Commander of the Royal Army of Oman.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 15/99 Adopting the Organisational Structure of Sultan Qaboos University,

Saud bin Nasser bin Ali Al-Riyami is hereby appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University.
Article II
His Excellency Salim bin Ismail bin Ali Al-Suwaid is hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Housing are hereby merged into one ministry named the Ministry of Transport and Housing, and Malik bin Sulaiman Al-Mamari is hereby appointed its minister.
Article II
The name of the Ministry of Post, Telegraph, and Telephone is hereby amended to the Ministry of Communications, and Sheikh Suhail bin Mustahail bin Salim Bait Shammas is hereby appointed its minister.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
