Royal Decree 26/2026 Reinstating Omani Nationality

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Omani Nationality Law issued by Royal Decree 17/2025,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to those named in the attached list.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Issued on: 20 Sha’ban 1447Corresponding to: 8 February 2026

Arabic Based on the Labour Law issued by Royal Decree 53/2023, and the Regulation Governing Labour Authorisation and Work Permit issued by Ministerial Decision 602/2025, and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The text of article III of the mentioned Ministerial Decision 602/2025 is hereby replaced with the following text:

This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 15 February 2026.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decision, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication. Issued on: 6 Sha’ban 1447 Corresponding to: 25 January 2026
