Royal Decree 66/2022 Issuing Class I Licence to Oman Technology Infrastructure Company to Build and Operate Passive Infrastructure for Telecommunications Towers

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Telecommunications Law promulgated by Royal Decree 30/2002,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A Class I Licence is hereby issued to Oman Technology Infrastructure Company to build and operate passive infrastructure for telecommunication towers, in accordance with the provisions of the attached licence.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Civil Aviation Authority: Decision 1208/2022 Amending Some Provisions of the Executive Regulation of the Civil Aviation Law

Arabic Based on the System of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation promulgated by Royal Decree 43/2013, the Civil Aviation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 76/2019, the Executive Regulation of the Civil Aviation Law issued by Ministerial Decision 44/T/2007, the approval of the Council of Ministers, the approval of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Authority, and the approval of the Ministry of Finance, and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The fee of “transit traveller” provided in article 87 is hereby replaced with the following fee:

Article II

All that is contrary to this decision, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers: Decision 330/2022 Amending the Organisational Structure of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers

Based on Royal Decree 31/2014 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers,

the System of the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 75/2020,

and the approval of the Council of Ministers to amend the name of the “General Directorate of Information and Studies” in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to the “Decision-Making Support Unit”,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The name of the “Directorate General of Information and Studies” in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers is hereby amended to the “Decision-Making Support Unit”, and its subordination is hereby transferred to the deputy secretary general.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decision, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The following are hereby granted:

1. Minister Plenipotentiary Abdulghaffar bin Abdulkareem bin Issa Al-Balushi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

2. Minister Plenipotentiary Saif bin Nasser bin Rashid Al-Badai the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

3. Minister Plenipotentiary Ahmed bin Ali bin Said Al-Rasdhi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

4. Minister Plenipotentiary Mahmood bin Hamad bin Nasser Al-Hasni the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Swiss Confederation.

5. Counsellor Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Awadh Al-Nahdi the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Cyprus.

6. Counsellor Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Al-Tuwaih the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Russian Federation.

7. Counsellor Irma bint Said bin Mohammed Al-Kathiriya the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to Brunei Darussalam.

Royal Decree 61/2022 on the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism is hereby approved in the form attached, subject to the reservation on paragraph 1 of article 23 of the aforementioned convention.

Article II

The competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession for the aforementioned convention in accordance with its provisions, subject to the aforementioned reservation.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
