Royal Decree 38/99 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Convention on the Marking of Plastic Explosives for the Purpose of Detection

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Convention on the Marking of Plastic Explosives for the Purpose of Detection done in Montreal on 1 March 1991,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the mentioned Convention on the Marking of Plastic Explosives for the Purpose of Detection is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for acceding to the agreement in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 37/99 Appointing Non-Resident Ambassadors

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law issued by Royal Decree 40/86 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Fuad bin Mubarak bin Ali Al-Hinai—Our Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Cuba, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and the Republic of Colombia.

Article II

Ambassador Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy, Our ambassador to the Republic of India, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Seychelles.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 35/99 Ratifying the Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation on Income Derived From International Air Transport Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation on Income Derived From International Air Transport Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden signed in Muscat on 8 July 1998,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned agreement is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
