We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
Royal Decree 109/89 authorising the signing of the amendment to the mentioned trade agreement,
and the provisions of the amendment to the mentioned trade agreement signed in the city of Muscat on 27 December 1989,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The mentioned amendment to the Trade Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Republic of China is hereby ratified.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Article I
The text of article 18(a) of the mentioned Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for Omani Government Employees is hereby replaced with the following text:
Article 18(a)
That he submits a request for this to the Ministry of Civil Service within one year from the date of his new appointment, or during the period ending on 31 December 1990 for those in service.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit and its amendments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article 1
The project to construct the Royal Camp in the Farq Area in the Wilayat of Nizwa, as specified in the attached note and masterplan, is hereby deemed a public benefit project.
Article 2
The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.
Article 3
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 77/89 Issuing the Law of the Profit Tax on Commercial and Industrial Establishments,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Commercial and industrial establishments owned or exploited by an Omani natural person alone and companies wholly owned by Omani nationals are hereby exempted from the profit tax on commercial and industrial establishments and from the corporate income tax due for the tax years 1989 and 1990.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.
