We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Civil Service Law issued by Royal Decree 120/2004,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim bin Said Al-Abri is hereby appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Civil Service Employee Affairs.

Article II

Sayyid Salim bin Musallam bin Ali Al-Busaidi is hereby appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

and the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Ahmed bin Nasser bin Hamad Al-Mahrizi, Our ambassador to the French Republic, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Portuguese Republic.

Article II

Ambassador Khalid bin Hashel bin Mohammed Al-Musalhi, Our ambassador to Japan, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to New Zealand.

Article III

Ambassador Khalid bin Sulaiman bin Abdulrahman Baomar, Our ambassador to the Republic of South Africa, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Mauritius.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Nasser bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Balushi is hereby revoked of Omani nationality as of 17 March 2009, as well as those who acquired it through him.

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the aforementioned convention is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the convention in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
