We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 86/97 regarding Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sheikh Hilal bin Khalid Al-Maawali is hereby appointed a member of Majlis Al-Dawla.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

– Sheikh Mohammed bin Marhoon bin Ali Al-Mamari—Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A ministry for fisheries is hereby established to which the mandates, allocations, and assets relating to fisheries are transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and all employees working in the field of fisheries in the aforementioned ministry are hereby transferred to it with their same financial grades.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession to the aforementioned convention in accordance with its provisions.
