We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 48/76 Regarding the Signing of Foreign and Domestic Financial Transactions and its amendments,

and the Corporate Income Tax Law issued by Royal Decree 47/81 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The following agreements are hereby ratified:

1. The investment agreement signed on 23 October 1996 between the Government of the Sultanate and Gas Investments and Services Company Limited (Gisco).

2. The amendment agreement signed on 15 September 1999 between the Government of the Sultanate and Gas Investments and Services Company Limited (Gisco).

3. The supplementary agreement signed on 26 September 2001 between the Government of the Sultanate and Gas Investments and Services Company Limited (Gisco).

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

While maintaining the existing work mechanism of the Internal Security Service and the responsibilities entrusted to it, Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Habsi, President of the Internal Security Service, is hereby granted the rank of minister.

Royal Decree 9/87 on the mandates and formation of the Supreme Committee for Conferences,

and Royal Decree 67/87 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Secretariat General of the Supreme Committee for Conferences,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Secretariat General of the Supreme Committee for Conferences is hereby abolished and its mandates are hereby transferred to the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers. Its officers are hereby transferred to it with their same employment status.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
