Royal Decree 14/97 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Oil and Gas Pipelines Protection Project

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The oil and gas pipelines protection project specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the mentioned project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Avoidance of Double Taxation Resulting from Air Transport Activity signed in Muscat on 11 January 1997,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Avoidance of Double Taxation Resulting from Air Transport Activity is hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96, and the Statutes of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture subordinate to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the membership of the mentioned Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture is hereby approved.

Article II

The Minister of Transport is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Maldives for Air Services Between and Beyond Their Respective Territories.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 19/94 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Development and the Secretariat General of the Development Council,

and Royal Decree 7/96 Regarding the Mandates of the Development Council and Its Secretariat General,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The text of clause 3 of Annex 1 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Development attached to the mentioned Royal Decree 19/94 is hereby replaced with the following text:

“Preparing the annual development budget in agreement with the Ministry of Finance and in coordination with other ministries and government units, and submitting it to the Council of Ministers.”
