Royal Decree 62/2023 Amending Some Provisions of the Civil Aviation Law

Arabic

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Civil Aviation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 76/2019,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the aforementioned Civil Aviation Law shall be implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached amendments, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Omani Nationality Law promulgated by Royal Decree 38/2014,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby granted to those named in the attached list.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Arabic We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State, the Oil and Gas Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/2011, Royal Decree 40/2020 Approving the Petroleum Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, Total EP Oman Block 12 BV, and PTTEP MENA Limited for Block 12, and the collection of documents by which TotalEnergies EP Oman Block 12 BV assigned 30% of its rights and obligations in the petroleum agreement signed on 19 February 2020 for Block 12 to PC Oman Ventures Limited, which accepts that assignment, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The assignment by TotalEnergies EP Oman Block 12 BV of 30% of its rights and obligations in the petroleum agreement signed on 19 February 2020 for Block 12 to PC Oman Ventures Limited is hereby approved, so that the final shares of the parties to the agreement are as follows:

– 50% for TotalEnergies EP Oman Block 12 BV.

– 30% for PC Oman Ventures Limited.

– 20% for PTTEP MENA Limited.

Article II

have decreed as follows

Article I

An embassy for the Sultanate of Oman is hereby established in Australia.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 58/2023 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Convention on the International Organization for Marine Aids to Navigation

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Convention on the International Organization for Marine Aids to Navigation done at Paris on 27 January 2021,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the Convention on the International Organization for Marine Aids to Navigation is hereby approved in the form attached.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of accession for the aforementioned convention in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 54/2023 Issuing the Members of Majlis Al-Shura Elections Law

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

the Members of Majlis Al-Shura Elections Law promulgated by Royal Decree 58/2013,

and the Law of Majlis Oman promulgated by Royal Decree 7/2021,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Members of Majlis Al-Shura Elections Law shall apply.

Article II

The Minister of Interior shall issue the executive regulation of the attached law and the necessary decisions for implementing its provisions. Until they are issued, the existing regulations and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with its provisions.

Article III

The aforementioned Members of Majlis Al-Shura Elections Law is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to the attached law, or in conflict with its provisions.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 53/2023 Issuing the Labour Law

Consolidated Text Arabic Toolkit We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State, the Law on Arbitration in Civil and Commercial Disputes promulgated by Royal Decree 47/97, the Labour Law promulgated by Royal Decree 35/2003, Royal Decree 89/2020 Establishing the Ministry of Labour, Determining Its Competences, and Adopting Its Organisational Structure, and the Social Protection Law promulgated by Royal Decree 52/2023, and after presentation to Majlis Oman, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Labour Law shall apply.

Article II

The Minister of Labour shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions for implementing the provisions of the attached law, and until they are issued, the regulations and decisions in force continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with its provisions.

Article III

Those addressed by the provisions of the attached law shall rectify their status in accordance with its provisions within 6 (six) months from the date of its entry into force.

Article IV

The aforementioned Labour Law is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to the attached law, or in conflict with its provisions.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication. Issued on: 7 Muharram 1445 Corresponding to: 25 July 2023
