We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the draft Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Excellency Salim bin Abdullah Al-Ghazali, Minister of Commerce and Industry, is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Agreement on Economic and Trade Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Ambassador Ahmed bin Ibrahim bin Qasim—Our ambassador to the Somali Democratic Republic—is hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and the Declaration of the Establishment of the Republic of Yemen on 26 May 1990,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Ambassador Awadh bin Mahfoodh bin Ali Bakthir is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Yemen.

Article II

The Embassy of the Sultanate in the People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen is hereby abolished.

Article III

Ambassador Mohammed bin Salim bin Mohammed Al-Hajri—Our ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen—is hereby transferred to the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.

Article IV

A consulate general for the Sultanate is hereby established in the Governorate of Aden in the Republic of Yemen.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The membership of Sayyid Ali bin Saif Al-Said in the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman is hereby renewed for a period of five years starting from 15 June 1990.
