We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 7/85 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A directorate general named the “Directorate General of Tourism” is hereby established at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Article II

The organisational structure of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is hereby amended in accordance with the provisions of the preceding article.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Ambassador Said bin Ali bin Salim Al-Kalbani is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the State of Qatar.

Article II

Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Aqeel Al-Dhahab is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the United Kingdom.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 4/81 Ratifying the Trade Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Republic of China signed on 14 October 1980,

and the draft amendment to certain articles of the mentioned trade agreement,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned amendment to the Trade Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Ziyad bin Talib bin Said Al-Mawali is hereby appointed to the Institute of Sharia Judiciary, Preaching, and Guidance, transferred from the Ministry of Education and Youth, and is granted the first financial grade of the first circle of the general schedule, in exception to the provisions of the mentioned Civil Service Law.

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
