Royal Decree 22/2020 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the International Dates Council

Arabic

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Primary System of the International Dates Council,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the International Dates  Council is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent bodies shall deposit the instrument of accession for the International Dates Council in accordance with its Primary System.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 19/2020 Ratifying the Protocol Amending Some Provisions of the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the State of Qatar

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 70/2007 Ratifying the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the State of Qatar,

and the Protocol Amending Some Provisions of the Air Transport Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the State of Qatar signed in Muscat on 16 April 2018,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned protocol is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and shall come into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 16/2020 Appointing the National Museum Secretary General

Arabic We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96, and the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 120/2004, and Royal Decree 62/2013 Establishing the National Museum and Issuing Its System, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Jamal bin Hassan Al-Moosawi is hereby appointed Secretary General for the National Museum with the special grade.

Article II

Royal Decree 14/2020 Appointing a Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs

Arabic

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 34/88 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Defence and Approving its Organisational Structure,

and Royal Decree 31/2011 Recomposing the Council of Ministers,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik bin Taimur Al-Said is hereby appointed Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs.

Article II

The Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs shall have – in regard to the Ministry of Defence – the competences and authorities of the head of the unit stipulated in the laws, systems, and royal decrees.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 5/2020 Making Some Amendments to the Civil Defence Law

Arabic

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Civil Defence Law promulgated by Royal Decree 76/91,

and Royal Decree 63/2003 regarding the National Security Council,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The term “National Committee for Civil Defence” shall be replaced with the term “National Committee for Emergency Management” wherever it occurs in the aforementioned Civil Defence Law or any laws and royal decrees.

Article II

The attached amendments to the aforementioned Civil Defence Law shall be implemented. 

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree and the attached amendments or in conflict with their provisions is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
