Arabic 

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit and its amendements,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Majis–Falaj Al-Qabail Road Project in the Wilayat of Sohar as specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article 2

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 concerning the Promulgation of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 5/80 Issuing the Land Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached System of Apartments and Floors Ownership hereby apply.

Article II

As an exception to the provisions of the aforementioned Land Law, “companies wholly owned by Omanis” may own land to construct buildings on it with the intention of transferring their ownership.

Article III

The Minister of Housing shall issue the necessary decisions to implement the provisions of this decree.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

The attached amendments are hereby made to articles 3 and 6 of the mentioned Social Housing Law issued by Royal Decree 35/77.

Article II

The Minister of Housing and all competent entities shall implement this decree, each within its mandate.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its publication.

and Royal Decree 87/84 Issuing the Social Security Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The monthly pensions stipulated for families benefiting from the provisions of the mentioned Social Security Law are hereby increased in accordance with the attached schedule.

Article II

The mentioned schedule hereby replaces the schedule attached to the Social Security Law.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 November 1988.
