Based on the Labour Law promulgated by Royal Decree 53/2023,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The attached Guidance Form for the Regulation of the Work System in Private Sector Establishments hereby applies.

Article II

This decision must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 48/2024 Ratifying the Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic, Special, and Service Passports

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic, Special, and Service Passports signed in Muscat on 26 June 2024,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned agreement is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 47/2024 Promulgating the Bank Deposit Protection Law

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

the Law of the Bank Deposit Insurance System promulgated by Royal Decree 9/95,

and the Banking Law promulgated by Royal Decree 114/2000,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Bank Deposit Protection Law hereby apply.

Article II

All the assets, rights, obligations, and holdings of the Bank Deposit Insurance System stipulated in the aforementioned Law of the Bank Deposit Insurance System promulgated by Royal Decree 9/95 are hereby transferred to the Insurance Fund for Deposit Protection in Conventional Licensed Establishments established by virtue of the attached law.

Article III

The Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman shall issue the executive regulation of the attached law and the necessary decisions for implementing its provisions, and until they are issued, the existing regulations and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of the attached law.

Article IV

The aforementioned Law of the Bank Deposit Insurance System promulgated by Royal Decree 9/95 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to the attached law, or in conflict with its provisions.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 45/2024 Promulgating the Law Regulating Wildlife Trade

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control promulgated Royal Decree 114/2001,

the Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 6/2003,

Royal Decree 67/2003 Applying the Unified Customs Law of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf,

the Veterinary Quarantine Law promulgated by Royal Decree 45/2004,

the Agricultural Quarantine Law promulgated by Royal Decree 47/2004,

Royal Decree 117/2007 Approving the Accession of the Sultanate to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora,

the Animal Welfare Law promulgated by Royal Decree 21/2017,

and Royal Decree 106/2020 Establishing the Environment Authority, Determining Its Competences, and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Law Regulating Wildlife Trade hereby apply.

Article II

The President of the Environment Authority shall issue the executive regulation of the attached law and shall also issue the necessary regulations and decisions for implementing its provisions, and until they are issued, the existing regulations and decisions continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of the attached law.

Article III

Those addressed by the provisions of this law shall rectify their status in accordance with its provisions within 6 (six) months from the date of its entry into force.

Article IV

All that is contrary to the attached law, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Agreement to Amend the Protocol to the Agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the International Atomic Energy Agency for the Application of Safeguards in the Framework of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons signed in Vienna on 7 December 2016,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The aforementioned agreement is hereby ratified in the form attached.

Article II

Competent entities shall deposit the instrument of ratification in accordance with its provisions.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
