Royal Decree 17/2018 Promulgating the Law of Weapons, Ammunition, and Explosives Related to Military and Security Bodies

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Law of Weapons, Ammunition, and Explosives Related to Military and Security Bodies shall apply.

Article II

The Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions for implementing the provisions of this law, and until they are issued, the regulations and decisions in force shall continue to operate to the degree that they do not contradict with the provisions of this law.

Article III

Those subject to the provisions of this law shall rectify their status in compliance with its provisions within 6 (six) months from the date of its implementation. Licences that are valid prior to the entry into force of the provisions of this law shall continue to operate until they expire.

Article IV

All that is contrary to this law, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article V

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 16/2018 Promulgating Amendments to Some Provisions of the Military Judiciary Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Military Judiciary Law promulgated by Royal Decree 110/2011,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the aforementioned Military Judiciary Law shall be implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached amendments, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby granted to those named in the attached list.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 12/2018 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Project for Constructing a Protection Dam in the Area of Jufaina in the Wilayat of Amerat (B-6) in the Governorate of Muscat

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit promulgated by Royal Decree 64/78,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The project for constructing a protection dam in the area of Jufaina in the Wilayat of Amerat (B-6) in the Governorate of Muscat specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

Competent bodies may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the aforementioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 8/2018 Promulgating the National Payment Systems Law

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Law of Commerce promulgated by Royal Decree 55/90,

the Capital Market Law promulgated by Royal Decree 80/98,

the Banking Law promulgated by Royal Decree 114/2000,

the Electronic Transactions Law promulgated by Royal Decree 69/2008,

the Cybercrime Law promulgated by Royal Decree 12/2011,

and the Law of Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing promulgated by Royal Decree 30/2016,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached National Payment Systems Law shall apply.

Article II

All that is contrary to this law, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the lapse of 30 (thirty) days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
