We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
the Law of the Commercial Register 3/74,
the Commercial Companies Law 4/74,
the Commercial Agencies Law promulgated by Royal Decree 26/77,
the Foreign Capital Investment Law promulgated by Royal Decree 102/94,
the Foreigners Residency Law promulgated by Royal Decree 16/95,
the System for the Handling and Use of Chemicals promulgated by Royal Decree 46/95,
the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control promulgated Royal Decree 114/2001,
the Law on the Protection of Water Sources from Pollution promulgated by Royal Decree 115/2001,
the Tourism Law promulgated by Royal Decree 33/2002,
the Labour Law promulgated by Royal Decree 35/2003,
the Law of Free Zones promulgated by Royal Decree 56/2002,
the Natural Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 6/2003,
the Mining Law promulgated by Royal Decree 27/2003,
the Law on Food Safety promulgated by Royal Decree 84/2008,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The attached system shall apply in regard to the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
Article II
All that is contrary to the attached system, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.
Article III
This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
