Based on the Law Governing the Foreign Ministry promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2008,
and the Regulation of the Omani Friendship Associations issued by Ministerial Decision 341/2007,
and in pursuance of public interest,
it is hereby decided
Article I
The Oman-India Friendship Association is hereby founded, and its articles of association and organisational structure shall be registered in the register prepared in the ministry for this purpose.
Article II
This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Statement of the Supreme Committee
The Supreme Committee on Covid-19 decided to allow reopening mosques, which have a capacity to accommodate not less than 400 persons, for the Five Obligatory Prayers only without Friday Prayer as of Sunday 29th Rabi al-Awwal 1442 corresponding to 15th November 2020 and in accordance with the following regulations:
– An individual should avoid going to mosques if he, any of his family members or contacts have Covid-19 symptoms.
– Mosques to be opened at the prayer’s adhan for a period not exceeding 25 minutes including adhan, prayer and leaving the mosque.
– Qurans and other books at mosques shall be kept unreachable and not to be used by individuals.
– All drinking water coolers shall be locked.
– Washrooms shall be kept completely closed.
– Every individual shall bring his own prayer mat when coming to mosque.
– Every individual shall adhere to wearing a face mask during his stay at mosque.
– Sanitizing hands regularly in the entry and exit of mosques.
– Maintaining a safe distance of 1 and half meter between each individual.
– Mosques’ custodians shall ensure the adherence of all persons coming to mosques with the above-mentioned regulations and other precautionary procedures incorporated in “Guidelines and Procedures of Mosques Reopening” issued by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs that are in line with the regulations stated herein.

Statement of the Supreme Committee
The Supreme Committee on COVID-19 has mandated that all travelers arriving to the Sultanate through all ports (air, sea, and land) must undergo a PCR test not more than 96 hours prior to their arrival, in addition to taking the test again upon arrival. They must also adhere to a mandatory quarantine of 7 days and take the PCR test again on the 8th day.
The Supreme Committee has assigned Their Excellencies the Walis to register volunteers who are interested in contributing their time and efforts to this noble national cause, in accordance with the conditions that will be announced at a later time.
