Statement of the Supreme Committee
The Supreme Committee on COVID-19 has followed the recent developments of the extreme weather conditions in the wilayat of Sur, which have caused floods of wadis due to the heavy rainfall. Hence, pursuing to support the efforts made by competent authorities and individuals in ensuring proper reinstatement of the situation in Sur, in a way that does not conflict with the precautions set to halt further spread of the pandemic, the committee decided to extend the applicability of the former decision allowing movement of individuals and vehicles, and opening stores of; foodstuff, bakeries, restaurants, building materials, electrical and sanitary materials, and fodder located in Sur only, to remain in effect on Thursday and Friday 12-13 Thu al Hijjah 1442, July 22-23 July , 2021.

Statement of the Supreme Committee
Within its continuous sessions held to evaluate and address the developments of COVID-19 in the Sultanate, the Supreme Committee has come to know the impact of the extreme weather conditions across the Sultanate, and the Wilayat of Sur in particular, which have caused floods of wadis due to the heavy rains, impacting private and public properties, and making continuous effect on some villages despite the determined efforts made by competent authorities.
Therefore, pursuing to ensure proper reinstatement of the situation in Sur, in a manner that does not conflict with the earlier precautions set to halt further spread of the pandemic, including the day-long lockdown of businesses and the movement ban during Eid al Adha days 10-13 Thu al-Hijjah 1442, 20-23 July 2021, the supreme committee decided to allow movement of individuals and to open stores of; foodstuff, bakeries, restaurants, building materials, electrical and sanitary materials, and fodder stores located in Sur only, on Tuesday and Wednesday 10-11 Thu al Hijjah 1442, 20-21 July 2021, from 7am to 5pm. The committee also decided to allow other task forces carrying out their duties during this period, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development.

Statement of the Supreme Committee
Within its continuous sessions held to evaluate and address the developments of COVID-19 in the Sultanate, the Supreme Committee has examined the latest epidemiological updates of the pandemic and the appropriate interventions for dealing with its effects. Therefore, pursuing to protect the community from the pandemic, especially from its new variants, and to safeguard the capabilities of the local healthcare system, the committee has decided to extend the complete lockdown period for commercial activities and the movement of individuals and vehicles throughout Eid al-Adha days to end on Saturday morning at 4:00am, 14 Thu al-Hijjah 1442, corresponding to July 24, 2021.
The committee has also decided to remove the Republic of Singapore and Brunei Darussalam from the list of countries from which entry of arrivals to the Sultanate is forbidden, provided that this decision comes into effect at 5pm Monday 9 Thu al-Hijjah 1442, corresponding to July 19, 2021 AD.
