We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Oil and Gas Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/2011,

Royal Decree 48/2011 Approving the Petroleum Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and Rex Oil & Gas Ltd and Petroci Holding for Offshore Concession Block 50,

and the collection of documents by which Rex Oil & Gas Ltd and Petroci Holding for Offshore Concession Block 50 assigned all their rights and obligations in the Petroleum Agreement signed on 28 February 2011 to Masirah Oil Limited,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The assignment by Rex Oil & Gas Ltd and Petroci Holding for offshore concession block 50 of all their rights and obligations in the Petroleum Agreement signed on 28 February 2011 to Masirah Oil Limited is hereby approved.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 80/2011 Establishing Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar Natural Landscape Reserve

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 6/2003,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A nature reserve named “Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar Landscape Reserve” is hereby established and the area, the dimensions of which are specified in the attached annex and map, is hereby designated to it.

Article II

The Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs shall issue the regulations and decisions implementing this decree in coordination with the ministries and competent entities, provided that they include the method of managing the reserve, the rules governing its entry and the fees prescribed for it, the timing of visits, the activities allowed to be practised and those that are prohibited to be carried out, and the appropriate penalties in each case.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 79/2011 Amending the Name of the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary to the Wildlife Reserve in Wusta Region

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96, the Royal Decree 4/94 regarding the Arabian Oryx Sanctuary, the Law on Environmental Protection and Pollution Control promulgated Royal Decree 114/2001, and the Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 6/2003, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The name “Arabian Oryx Sanctuary” is hereby amended to “Wildlife Reserve in Wusta Region” wherever it occurs in the aforementioned Royal Decree 4/94 and the annex attached to it.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication. Issued on : 17 Ramadan 1432 Corresponding to: 17 August 2011
