Royal Decree 21/2008 Appointing an Advisor to the State

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Abdullah bin Saleh bin Khalfan Al-Habsi is hereby appointed Advisor to the State.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 20/2008 Reinstating Omani Nationality

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law Governing Omani Nationality issued by Royal Decree 3/83,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to those named in the attached list, from the date stated next to each name.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

Royal Decree 19/2008 Determining the Mandates of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Approving Its Organisational Structure

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 47/2001 Making a Ministerial Amendment,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mandates of the Ministry of Transport and Communications are hereby determined in accordance with the attached annex 1.

Article II

The organisational structure of the Ministry of Transport and Communications is hereby adopted in accordance with the attached annex 2.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 16/2008 Amending and Rectifying the Status of Some Companies in Accordance with the Commercial Companies Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Commercial Companies Law 4/74,

Royal Decree 33/74 regarding Companies Established by Royal Decree,

Royal Decree 79/87 Establishing the Oman Fisheries Company SAOG,

and Royal Decree 10/93 Establishing the Oman and Emirates Investment Holding Company SAOG,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The articles of association of the Oman Fisheries Company SAOG and the Oman and Emirates Investment Holding Company SAOG are hereby amended in accordance with the mentioned Commercial Companies Law.

Article II

The companies stipulated in article I shall rectify their legal status in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Commercial Companies Law within a period of six months from the date of entry into force of this decree.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
