We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 8/80 and its amendments,

Royal Decree 24/2003 Establishing the Public Authority for Craft Industries and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 53/2003 Issuing the System of the Public Authority for Craft Industries and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sayyid Mahmoud bin Hilal bin Saud Al-Busaidi is hereby appointed Deputy Chairman of the Public Authority for Craft Industries with the grade of undersecretary.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Advisor Mohammed bin Omar Aideed is hereby promoted to the grade of ambassador.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

Royal Decree 87/93 Establishing the Ministry of Defence Pension Fund,

and Royal Decree 3/2002 Issuing the Law on Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for the Personnel of the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan’s Armed Forces and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments to the mentioned System of Pensions and End of Service Gratuity for the Personnel of the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan’s Armed Forces are hereby implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 January 2005.

Royal Decree 27/85 Establishing a Supreme Committee for Town Planning and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 86/99 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Supreme Committee for Town Planning,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Supreme Committee for Town Planning is hereby recomposed as follows:

– Minister of National Economy—Chairman

– Minister of Housing, Electricity, and Water—Deputy Chairman

– Minister of Interior—Member

– Inspector General of Police and Customs—Member

– Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar—Member

– Chairman of Muscat Municipality—Member

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities, Environment, and Water Resources for Regional Municipalities Affairs—Member

– The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism—Member

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Transport—Member

– Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Economy for Development Affairs—Member

Article II

The technical secretariat of the committee is subordinate to the Ministry of National Economy.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
