Royal Decree 69/2005 Issuing the Law on Granting the Concession of the Wastewater Facility in the Governorate of Muscat

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments,

Royal Decree 8/92 Issuing the Muscat Municipality Law and its amendments,

Royal Decree 37/95 Granting the Concession to Build, Manage, and Operate the Wastewater Network in the Governorate of Muscat,

and Royal Decree 77/2004 Issuing the Privatisation Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached Law on Granting the Concession of the Wastewater Facility in the Governorate of Muscat hereby applies.

Article II

The government of the Sultanate of Oman in signing the agreements stipulated in the attached law is represented by the Minister of National Economy in signing the concession agreement, the Minister of Housing, Electricity, and Water in signing the usufruct agreement, and the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court in signing the treated water sale and purchase agreement.

Article III

The Minister of National Economy—after coordination with the competent ministers—shall issue the local regulations and orders necessary to implement the provisions of the attached law.

Article IV

The aforementioned Royal Decree 37/95 is hereby repealed.

Article V

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Mohammed bin Hamoud bin Zahir Al-Tubi is hereby appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism.

Article II

Royal Decree 66/2005 Adding a Paragraph to Article 7 of the Commercial Agencies Law

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Commercial Agencies Law issued by Royal Decree 26/77 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A second paragraph is hereby added to article 7 of the mentioned Commercial Agencies Law with the following text:

Contracts for the purchase of weapons, ammunition, or military equipment of all types and forms signed by military or security entities directly with the principal are excluded.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Convention C105 adopted by the General Conference of the International Labour Organization on the Abolition of Forced Labour on 25 June 1957,

and Convention C138 adopted by the General Conference of the International Labour Organization on the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment on 26 June 1973,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned conventions are hereby ratified.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
