A natural reserve named the “Natural National Park Reserve in the Governorate of Musandam” is hereby established, and the area, of which the dimensions are specified in the attached annex and map, is hereby designated to it.

Article II

The President of the Environment Authority shall issue the regulations and decisions for implementing this decree after the approval of the Governor of Musandam, provided they include the manner for managing the reserve, rules governing public entry, prescribed fees, timing of visits, permitted activities, banned activities, and appropriate administrative penalties in each case.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 53/2022 regarding the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones and the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates

Arabic We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State, Royal Decree 4/93 Establishing the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates, the System of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates promulgated by Royal Decree 32/2015, Royal Decree 75/2020 regarding the Administrative Apparatus of the State, and Royal Decree 105/2020 Establishing the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones and Determining Its Competences, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The subordination of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates is hereby transferred to the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.

Article II

The Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones shall undertake practising the competences of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates relating to drawing the public policy, regulation, control, supervision, unification of services, facilities, and incentives provided to investors.

Article III

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates shall undertake practising the competences relating to the operation of industrial estates.

Article IV

The phrase “Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion” is hereby replaced with the phrase “Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones” wherever it appears in laws and royal decrees relating to the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates.

Article V

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones shall issue the necessary decisions to implement the provisions of this decree.

Article VI

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article VII

the Records and Archives Law promulgated by Royal Decree 60/2007,

and the System of the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 75/2020,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

The attached amendments of the aforementioned Records and Archives Law shall be implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached amendments, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

We, Haitham bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State,

and the Law of Public Notaries promulgated by Royal Decree 40/2003,

and after presentation to Majlis Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached amendments of the aforementioned Law of Public Notaries shall be implemented.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached amendments, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources: Ministerial Decision 121/2022 Banning the Harvesting, Posession, and Trading of Sea Cucumbers

Based on the Aquatic Living Resources Law promulgated by Royal Decree 20/2019,

and the Executive Regulation of the Law of Sea Fishing and Protection of Aquatic Living Resources issued by Ministerial Decision 4/94,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The harvesting, possession, and trading of sea cucumbers is hereby banned for a period of three (3) years from the date of the implementation of this decision. Trading includes: Selling, buying, transporting, storing, exporting, and all associated activities during the period of the ban.
