We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Royal Decree 90/99,
and the Civil and Commercial Procedures Law promulgated by Royal Decree 29/2002,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The phrase “Adhal lawsuits” is hereby added after the word “contestations” provided in the first paragraph of article 2 of the aforementioned Judicial Authority Law.
Article II
A second paragraph is hereby added to article 273 of the aforementioned Civil and Commercial Procedures Law with the following text:
As an exception to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Shariah Court Circuit of the Supreme Court has the exclusive jurisdiction to rule on Adhal lawsuits filed before it in accordance with the procedures and rules stipulated in this law followed before the courts of first instance.
A woman may file a grievance against the decision rejecting her lawsuit referred to in the preceding paragraph to His Majesty the Sultan by a request submitted to the Diwan of Royal Court within thirty days from the day following the date of the issuance of the judgment.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

and the collection of documents by which Reliance Exploration and Production MDMC assigned part of its rights and obligations in the petroleum agreement signed on 12 November 2007 (Block 41) to Oman Oil Exploration and Production LLC, which accepts this assignment,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows

The assignment by Reliance Exploration and Production MDMC of 25% of its rights and obligations in the mentioned petroleum agreement signed on 12 November 2007 to Oman Oil Exploration and Production LLC is hereby approved.
