We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
and the Law of Free Zones promulgated by Royal Decree 56/2002,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs is hereby added to the membership of the Free Zones Committee stipulated in article 6 of the aforementioned Royal Decree 56/2002.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

the Muscat Municipality Law issued by Royal Decree 8/92,
and Royal Decree 29/2006 Appointing the Members of the Municipal Council of Muscat Municipality,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The text of clause Second of the list attached to the mentioned Royal Decree 29/2006 is hereby replaced with the following text:
Second: Members holding at least the rank of director general representing the following government agencies:
1. Ministry of Health.
2. Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
3. Ministry of Fisheries.
4. Ministry of Housing.
5. Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs.
6. Ministry of Manpower.

9. Royal Oman Police.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,
and the Law Governing Omani Nationality promulgated by Royal Decree 3/83,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
Mawla Bakhsh Noor Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Balushi is hereby revoked of Omani nationality as of 25 February 2008, as well as those who acquired it through him.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

the Omani Penal Law issued by Royal Decree 7/74,
the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State issued by Royal Decree 26/75,
the Police Law issued by Royal Decree 35/90,
the Judicial Authority Law issued by Royal Decree 90/99,
the Public Prosecution Law issued by Royal Decree 92/99,
the Criminal Procedures Law issued by Royal Decree 97/99,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The Minister of State and the Governor of Dhofar have the authority to arrest and detain violating persons in cases of tribal disputes in the governorate, infringement of state-owned lands in it, or forcible objection to projects implemented within its scope, and he may seek the assistance of the Royal Oman Police in this regard.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Article I
Ambassador Mohammed bin Said bin Mohammed Al-Lawati, Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Article II
Ambassador Sheikh Abdullah bin Saleh bin Hilal Al-Saadi, Our ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
Article III
Ambassador Dr Bader bin Mohammed bin Zahir Al-Hinai, Our ambassador to the Republic of Austria, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Czech Republic.
Article IV
Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi, Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
Article V
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
