We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman
after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and the approved organisational structure of the Ministry of Palace Office Affairs,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The organisational structure of the Ministry of Palace Office Affairs approved by Us hereby apply from 2 November 1991.
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,
and Royal Decree 6/91 Adopting the Administrative Division of the Sultanate,
and in pursuance of public interest,
have decreed as follows
Article I
The annex attached to the mentioned Royal Decree 6/91 is hereby amended with regard to the names set out below, as follows:
– Muscat to the Governorate of Muscat
– Musandam to the Governorate of Musandam
– Dhofar to the Governorate of Dhofar
– Wilayat of Hajer to Wilayat of Amerat
– Wilayat of Hallaniyat Islands to Wilayat of Shalim and Hallaniyat Islands
Article II
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The Organisational Structure of the Royal Oman Police approved by Us hereby applies from 2 November 1991.
Article II
The phrase “Deputy Inspectors General of Police and Customs” is hereby amended wherever it appears to read as “Assistant Inspectors General of Police and Customs”.
Article III
This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.
