We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 9/86 Issuing the Law on Sultan Qaboos University,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The text of article 6 of the mentioned Law of Sultan Qaboos University is hereby amended to read as follows:

Article 6

The Sultan Qaboos University Council is hereby formed under the chairmanship of Sayyid Fahad bin Mahmoud Al-Said—Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs—and with the membership of the following:

– Minister of Education and Youth Affairs	Deputy Chairman
– Minister of National Heritage and Culture	Member
– Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries	Member
– Minister of Health	Member
– Minister of Social Affairs and Labour	Member
Vice chancellor of the university	Member
– Secretary General of the University	Member and secretary
– Mohammed bin Ali bin Nasser Al-Alawi	Member
– Dr Abdulmajeed Othman Mohammed	Member

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the Commercial Companies Law 4/74 and its amendments,

and the Constitutive Contract and Articles of Association of Oman National Fisheries Company,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The following are hereby appointed members of the Board of Directors of the mentioned Oman National Fisheries Company as representatives of the share of the Government of the Sultanate:

– Director General of Fisheries at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

– Development Budget and Contracts Director at the Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 106/84 Appointing a Member to the Board of Directors of Gulf Hotels Company (Oman) Limited as Representative of the Share of the Government,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Director General of Planning at the Ministry of Finance and Economy is hereby appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the mentioned Gulf Hotels Company (Oman) Limited as representative of the share of the government in that company.

Article 2

The mentioned Royal Decree 106/84 is hereby repealed.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Ahmed bin Omar bin Taher Baomar—Our ambassador to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Niger, the Gabonese Republic, and the Republic of Burkina Faso.

Article 2

Ambassador Marhoon bin Ahmed bin Salim Al-Marhoon—Our ambassador to the Empire of Japan—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of New Zealand and Australia.

Article 3

Ambassador Salim bin Mohammed bin Salim Al-Khusaibi—Our ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Brunei Darussalam.

Article 4

Ambassador Farid bin Mubarak bin Ali Al-Hinai—Our ambassador to the People’s Republic of China—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Thailand.

Article 5

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 64/78 issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Project to Construct Hajar Municipality Building specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article 2

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the mentioned project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and the initialled draft Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for Air Services Between and Beyond Their Respective Territories,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Minister of Transportation is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for Air Services Between and Beyond Their Respective Territories.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
