Royal Decree 42/86 Establishing the Sultan Qaboos University Club

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

Royal Decree 31/83 Establishing the University Club,

and Royal Decree 9/86 Establishing Sultan Qaboos University,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

A club, the membership of which is restricted to students of Sultan Qaboos University, is hereby established at Sultan Qaboos University under the name “Sultan Qaboos University Club”.

Article 2

The academic council of the university shall prepare the constitution and internal regulations of the club, which must be submitted to the council of the university for adoption.

Article 3

The name of the University Club established by the mentioned Royal Decree 31/83 is hereby amended to the “Cultural Club”. The club shall continue to pursue its objectives and carry out its activities at its current premises in Qurum, in accordance with its constitution and all the provisions stipulated in the decree establishing it.

Article 4

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 41/86 Making Appointments and Transfers in the Diplomatic Corps

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 40/86 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Abdullah bin Said bin Rashid Al-Balushi–Our ambassador to the Republic of India–is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of Turkey.

Article 2

Ambassador Ahmed bin Yousuf bin Obaid Al-Harthi–Our ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco–is hereby transferred and appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of India.

Article 3

Counsellor Abdulhussain bin Ali bin Abdullatif is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Article 4

Counsellor Ahmed bin Ibrahim bin Qasim is hereby granted the title of ambassador, and is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Somali Democratic Republic.

Article 5

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

The Minister of Transport is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned Air Transport Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Swiss Confederation.

Royal Decree 36/86 Increasing the Capital of the Central Bank of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

the Banking Law 7/74 and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 42/81 Increasing the Capital of the Central Bank of Oman,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The authorised capital of the Central Bank of Oman is hereby increased from fifty million to one hundred million Rial Omani, provided that the paid-up capital is set at one hundred million Rial Omani as of 31 December 1985.

Article 2

The Central Bank of Oman shall pay the increase stipulated in article 1 of this decree on 31 December 1985, from its general reserve.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
