Royal Decree 91/84 Declaring Public Benefit Status for the Buraimi Dual Carriageway Project

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 64/78 Issuing the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Buraimi Dual Carriageway Project specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article 2

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the mentioned project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree 94/84 Ratifying the Accession of the Sultanate to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage, 1971

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments, the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage, 1969, and the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage, 1971 resulting from the 1971 conference in this regard, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The accession of the Sultanate to the mentioned International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage, 1971 is hereby ratified.

Article 2

Competent entities shall deposit the instruments of ratification in accordance with the terms of the mentioned convention.

Article 3

and the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage, 1969 and its Protocol of 1976,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The accession of the Sultanate to the mentioned International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage, 1969 and its Protocol of 1976 referred to above is hereby ratified.

Article 2

The competent entities shall deposit the instruments of ratification in accordance with the terms of the mentioned convention and its protocol.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The accession of the Sultanate to the mentioned International Convention Relating to Intervention on the High Seas in Cases of Oil Pollution Casualties, 1969 and its Protocol of 1973 Relating to Intervention on the High Seas in Cases of Marine Pollution by Substances Other Than Oil is hereby ratified.

Article 2

The competent entities shall deposit the instruments of ratification in accordance with the terms of the mentioned convention and its protocol.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
