We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Minister of Information is hereby authorised to sign the Agreement on Media Cooperation Between the Government of the Sultanate and the Government of the Republic of Tunisia.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and Royal Decree 8/80 Issuing the Civil Service Law and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

In exception to the provisions of the mentioned Civil Service Law, Sheikh Suleiman bin Mohammed Al-Salmi—Director General of the Ministry of Justice, Endowments, and Islamic Affairs—is hereby transferred to the first financial grade of the first circle of the general schedule designated for an undersecretary of a ministry, as of 1 January 1983.

Article 2

The relevant entities shall implement this decree, and it must be published in the Official Gazette.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and the Omani Banking Law of 1974,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Article 4-10.3(a) of the Omani Banking Law of 1974 concerning the initial capital of licensed banks is hereby amended to read as follows:

Any bank shall have and maintain at all times a paid-up capital of not less than one million Rial Omani.

Article 2

All banks operating in the Sultanate shall achieve the capital referred to in article I of this decree within a period not exceeding the end of 1983.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.

The tax committee referred to in article 4 of the mentioned Corporate Income Tax Law is hereby formed as follows:

– Ali Dawood – President of the Commercial Dispute Resolution Tribunal Chairman

– Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Member

– Director General of Audit at the Diwan of Royal Court Affairs Member

– A member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry nominated by the board Member

– A legal member from Legal Affairs Member

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.
