We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The powers of the National Security Advisor are hereby transferred to the Palace Office.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

and Royal Decree 44/80 Issuing the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

Ambassador Mohammed Hassan Ali—Our ambassador to the French Republic—is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Sultanate to the Portuguese Republic.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force from the date of its issuance.

In the application of article 3 of the mentioned Police Law, the designations and ranks of the police force units and their personnel shall be determined by virtue of orders issued by Us to the Commander of the Police.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of Royal Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The provisions of the adopted System Regarding Pensions and End of Service Gratuity in the Sultan’s Armed Forces hereby apply. The system must be published by the Ministry of Defence as defence instructions.

Article 2

This system must be funded annually from the budget of the Ministry of Defence in accordance with what is approved by the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defence Affairs.

Article 3

The Ministry of Defence shall implement the mentioned system, and the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defence Affairs shall issue the necessary decisions for its implementation.

Article 4

The salaries and remuneration prescribed in this system are due in accordance with its provisions from 1 January 1982.

Article 5

All that is contrary to the provisions of this decree and the mentioned adopted system, or in conflict with them, is hereby repealed.

Article 6

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette.
