We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State 26/75, Decree 13/76 amending it, and its annexes,

and the Civil Service Law 27/75,

and based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of Health after its review by the Diwan of Legislation,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

A directorate general named the “Directorate General of Pharmacy and Medical Supplies” is hereby established in the Ministry of Health.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

based on article 3 of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State 26/75, as amended by Royal Decree 13/76,

whereas it has been decided to conclude an Economic, Cultural, and Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Hellenic Republic,

in pursuance of public interest,

and based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry is hereby authorised to sign the mentioned agreement on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman.

Article 2

The Government of the Sultanate of Oman shall faithfully implement the provisions of this Agreement from the date of its entry into force for the Sultanate.

Article 3

The Foreign Ministry shall publish the provisions of this agreement as soon as it comes into force for the Sultanate, together with this decree, in the Official Gazette.

the Cultural and Educational Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed in the Jordanian capital on 18 October 1976,

and based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of Education after its review by the Diwan of Legislation,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The mentioned Cultural and Educational Agreement Between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is hereby ratified.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and is considered in force as of the date of its publication.

after perusal of the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State 26/75 and its amendments,

and Decrees 53/75, 12/76, and 14/76,

and based on the matters presented to Us by the Minister of Information and Culture after its review by the Diwan of Legislation,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

The Ministry of Information and Culture “Cultural Affairs” is hereby competent with the following tasks:

1. Reviving folk arts and promoting theatre, music, cinema, fine arts, and related arts, within the framework of Omani traditions and in a manner that helps raise the cultural level of citizens.

2. Censoring artistic works and the application of laws relating to the protection of public morals and the prevailing beliefs in society in the various fields of artistic production.

3. Holding local and international cultural exhibitions in a manner that contributes to cultural rapprochement between Oman and the states of the world.

4. Establishing contacts with Arab and international cultural bodies and organisations and coordinating in this regard with the Ministry of National Heritage with regard to its mandates.

5. Issuing publications of a cultural nature that contribute to spreading awareness among citizens.

Article 2

All that is contrary to the provisions of this decree from decrees or laws preceding its issuance is hereby repealed.

Article 3

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.

after perusal of Decree 26/75 Issuing the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State and Decree 13/76 amending it, and in particular article 14 of it,

and after perusal of Annex A to that law regarding the mandates of the Ministry of Finance,

and in pursuance of the interest in preserving and safeguarding the private property of the State,

have decreed as follows

Article 1

A new paragraph is hereby added to the mandates of the Ministry of Finance provided in Annex A of the mentioned law governing the administrative apparatus under number 9bis, the text of which is as follows:

9bis – Controlling, managing, safeguarding, and preserving private property of the state, including real estate and movable property.

Article 2

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its publication.
