Royal Decree 51/2014 Establishing a Wetland Reserve in the Governorate of Wusta

Arabic

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 6/2003,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A nature reserve named “Wetland Reserve in the Governorate of Wusta” is hereby established and the area, the dimensions of which are specified in the attached annex and map, shall be allocated to it.

Article II

The Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs shall issue the regulations and decisions implementing this decree in coordination with the ministries and competent entities, provided that they include the method of managing the reserve, the rules governing its entry and the fees prescribed for it, the timing of visits, the activities allowed to be practised and those that are prohibited to be carried out, and the appropriate penalties in each case.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96, and the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Royal Decree 90/99, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Abidin Salah Hassan Idris is hereby appointed a judge to the Supreme Court.

Article II

Royal Decree 50/2014 Establishing the Natural Reserve of Jabal Qahwan in the Governorate of Sharqiya South

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Nature Reserves and Wildlife Conservation Law promulgated by Royal Decree 6/2003,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A nature reserve named “Jabal Qahwan Nature Reserve in the Governorate of Sharqiyah South” is hereby established and the area, the dimensions of which are specified in the attached annex and map, shall be allocated to it.

Article II

Royal Decree 45/2014 Transferring the Competence of Registering and Technical Licences to the Ministry of Information

Arabic We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96, the Law Governing the Administrative Apparatus of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 26/75, Royal Decree 51/97 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Information, the Law on the Censorship of Artistic Works promulgated by Royal Decree 65/97, Royal Decree 24/2005 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Adopting Its Organisational Structure, and Royal Decree 35/2009 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Information, and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The Ministry of Information hereby undertakes the competence of registration and technical licences by way of transfer from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

Article II

The employees competent with registration and technical licences are hereby transferred from the Ministry of Heritage and Culture to the Ministry of Information with their same employment status. The records related to registration and technical licences are also hereby transferred to the Ministry of Information.

Article III

The Minister of Heritage and Culture and the Minister of Information shall issue the necessary decisions to implement this decree.

Article IV

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article V

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force after 30 (thirty) days. Issued on: 22 Shawwal 1435 Corresponding to: 19 August 2014

Royal Decree 44/2014 Lifting the Public Benefit Status of Some Masterplans within the Masterplan of the Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Financial Law promulgated by Royal Decree 47/98,

Royal Decree 85/2006 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Project for Developing Duqm City in Wusta Region,

and Royal Decree 119/2011 Establishing the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm and Issuing Its System,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The public benefit status of the masterplans within the masterplan of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm is hereby lifted as specified in the attached note.

Article II

The location and boundaries of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm are hereby amended in accordance with the attached masterplan.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.
