after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Royal Decree 90/99,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The judges named in the attached list are hereby promoted to Supreme Court Judge.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

Article I

Omani nationality is hereby reinstated to those named in the attached list, from the date stated next to each name.

Article II

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Royal Decree 110/2000 promulgating the Schedule of Salaries, Allowances, and Stipends of Judges, Members of the Administrative Court, and Members of the Public Prosecution,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as  follows

Article I

The Schedule of Salaries, Allowances, and Stipends of Judges, Members of the Administrative Court, and Members of the Public Prosecution attached in the aforementioned Royal Decree 110/2000 is hereby replaced with the attached schedule.

Article II

Those addressed by the provisions of the schedule stipulated in article I of this decree are entitled to the salary, allowances, and stipends prescribed for the positions they occupy in the manner stated in the attached schedule.

They also retain the salary they have reached if it is higher than the starting salary prescribed for their position according to the attached schedule.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree and the attached schedule, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 1 January 2014.

the Framework Agreement for Economic, Trade, Investment and Technical Cooperation between the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the United States of America signed in New York City on 25 September 2012,

and the Framework Agreement for Economic, Trade, Investment and Technical Cooperation between the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the Republic of Peru signed in the city of Lima on 1 October 2012,

and after presentation to Majlis Al-Shura,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The mentioned agreements are hereby ratified in accordance with the attached forms.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

The attached system shall apply in regard to the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached system, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit promulgated by Royal Decree 64/78,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The road dualisation project from Oman Liquefied Natural Gas Company Roundabout to Bilad Sur Roundabout specified in the attached note and masterplan is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the System of Public Authorities and Establishments promulgated by Royal Decree 116/91,

and Royal Decree 24/2005 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

A museum named the “National Museum” is hereby established in the Governorate of Muscat, it is subordinate to the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, and the provisions of the attached system apply in its regard.

Article II

The National Museum has legal personality, enjoys financial and administrative independence, and has the capacity to own, manage, and dispose of immovable and movable property.

Article III

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions to implement the provisions of the attached system after its adoption by the Board of Trustees, and until they are issued, the laws and systems applicable to the units of the administrative apparatus of the state apply to the National Museum in regard to matters not governed by a special text in the attached system and to the degree that they do not contradict with its provisions.

Article IV

The assets of archaeological holdings and tangible and intangible artefacts kept by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, as well as the allocations of the National Museum project, are hereby transferred to the National Museum, and the employees of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture whose assistance is sought are also hereby transferred to it.

The implementation of the transfer mandate and the transfer of employees must be in accordance with the mechanism issued by a decision by the Minister of Heritage and Culture.

Article V

All that is contrary to this decree and the attached system, or in conflict with their provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article VI

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

and the United Nations Convention against Corruption,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations Convention against Corruption is hereby approved in the form attached and with the attached reservation.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for accession to the aforementioned convention in accordance with its provisions, subject to the attached reservation.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
