Royal Decree 63/2008 Issuing the Law on the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

the Financial Law promulgated by Royal Decree 47/98,

Royal Decree 6/2002 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Higher Education and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

Royal Decree 38/2002 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Health,

Royal Decree 32/2003 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Social Development and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

the Labour Law promulgated by Royal Decree 35/2003,

Royal Decree 67/2003 Applying the Unified Customs Law of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf,

the Civil Service Law promulgated by Royal Decree 120/2004,

the Law on Private Entities Working in the Field of Sports promulgated by Royal Decree 81/2007,

and Royal Decree 37/2008 Determining the Competences of the Ministry of Education and Adopting Its Organisational Structure,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The attached law shall apply in regard to the care and rehabilitation of the disabled.

Article II

The Minister of Social Development shall issue the necessary regulations and decisions to implement the provisions of the attached law.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 61/2008 Issuing the Common Industrial Regulatory Law (Statute) of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the decision of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which included the adoption of the Common Industrial Regulatory Law (System) of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, issued in its 25th session held during the month of December 2004,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached law (system) shall apply in regard to industrial regulation.

Article II

All that is contrary to this decree, or in conflict with its provisions, is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force thirty days after the date of issuance of the executive regulation of the attached law (system).

Ministry of Housing: Ministerial Decision 191/2007 Issuing the Executive Regulation of the System of the Ownership of Real Estate in Integrated Tourism Complexes

Based on Royal Decree 12/2006 regarding the System of the Ownership of Real Estate in Integrated Tourism Complexes,

Royal Decree 2/98 regarding the Real Estate Register System,

Royal Decree 47/98 Issuing the Financial Law,

Royal Decree 16/95 Issuing the Foreigners Residency Law,

the Executive Regulation of the Foreigners Residency Law issued by Decision 63/96 of the Inspector General of Police and Customs,

and the letter of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers SGCM/102/183 dated 22 Muharram 1428 corresponding to 10 February 2007,

and in pursuance of public interest,

it is hereby decided

Article I

The provisions of the attached regulation regarding the System of the Ownership of Real Estate in Integrated Tourism Complexes shall apply.

Article II

All that is contrary to the attached regulation is hereby repealed.

Article III

This decision shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 81/2007 Issuing the Law on Private Entities Working in the Field of Sports

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the System of Private Entities Working in the Field of Youth Sports and Cultural Activities promulgated by Royal Decree 41/2001,

Royal Decree 112/2004 Establishing the Ministry of Sports Affairs and Determining Its Competences,

and Royal Decree 7/2006 Adopting the Organisational Structure of the Ministry of Sports Affairs,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached law shall apply in regard to private entities working in the field of sports.

Article II

The Minister of Sports Affairs shall issue the constitutions of the aforementioned private entities and other regulations and decisions necessary for the implementation of the provisions of this law. Until these constitutions, regulations, and decisions are issued, the existing constitutions, regulations, and decisions continue to operate to the degree they do not contradict with the provisions of this law.

Article III

The aforementioned Royal Decree 41/2001 is hereby repealed, as well as all that is contrary to or contradicts with the provisions of the attached law.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 8/2007 Issuing the Law on Combating Terrorism

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

the Omani Penal Law promulgated by Royal Decree 7/74,

the Weapons and Ammunition Law promulgated by Royal Decree 36/90,

Royal Decree 55/99 Ratifying the Arab Agreement on Combating Terrorism,

the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Royal Decree 90/99,

the Public Prosecution Law promulgated by Royal Decree 92/99,

the Criminal Procedure Law promulgated by Royal Decree 97/99,

Royal Decree 22/2002 Ratifying the Convention of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference on Combating International Terrorism,

Royal Decree 63/2003 regarding the National Security Council,

the Law of the State Security Court promulgated by Royal Decree 64/2003,

Royal Decree 105/2005 regarding the Ratification by the Sultanate of Oman of the Agreement between the States of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf on Combating Terrorism,

and the decision of the Council of Ministers forming the National Committee for Combating Terrorism,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The provisions of the attached Law on Combating Terrorism shall apply.

Article II

The National Committee for Combating Terrorism shall be reconstituted and its competences shall be respecified by a decision by the National Security Council, and it shall operate under the supervision of the council.

Article III

All that is contrary to this decree or the attached law is hereby repealed.

Article IV

This decree shall be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the day following the date of its publication.

Royal Decree 115/2006 Appointing Judges to the Supreme Court

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State promulgated by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Judicial Authority Law promulgated by Royal Decree 90/99 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Those named in the attached list are hereby appointed Supreme Court Judges.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
