Ambassador Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Farsi is hereby appointed an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Kingdom of Morocco.

Article V

Ambassador Sheikh Ghazi bin Said bin Abdullah Al-Bahar Al-Rawas, Our ambassador to Malaysia, is hereby appointed a non-resident ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Ours to the Republic of the Philippines.

Article VI

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and Royal Decree 86/97 Regarding Majlis Oman and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qatabi is hereby appointed Chairman of Majlis Al-Shura.

Article II

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on 14 October 2003.

Royal Decree 69/2003 Declaring Public Benefit Status to the Project to Develop the Souq of the Wilayat of Khabura

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit issued by Royal Decree 64/78 and its amendments,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The project for developing the Souq of the Wilayat of Khabura specified in the attached note and masterplan to be implemented in the Wilayat of Khabura is hereby deemed a public benefit project.

Article II

The competent entities may seize, through direct execution, real estate and land necessary for the project, and all establishments on them, in accordance with the provisions of the mentioned Law on the Expropriation for Public Benefit.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.

We, Qaboos bin Said, the Sultan of Oman

after perusal of the Basic Statute of the State issued by Royal Decree 101/96,

and the Statutes of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property of UNESCO,

and in pursuance of public interest,

have decreed as follows

Article I

The accession of the Sultanate to the membership of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property is hereby approved.

Article II

Competent entities shall undertake the procedures for accession to the centre in accordance with the provisions of its statutes.

Article III

This decree must be published in the Official Gazette, and comes into force on the date of its issuance.
